The blast from my past

21 was the age I got my first car thanks to my dad. I was about to start work and needed a ride. New cars were way off the price range, 40k and above and I couldn't imagine getting a second hand proton. It just wouldn't cut it.

I decided to go back a couple of decades and look for something that was of my taste and reasonable in price. I found an add on Motor Trader and rushed my dad to Jalan Kelang Lama. It merun in colour, wheels that popped my eyes out and a shaped body that got me all excited. Not many people share the same feeling, but somethings you know its yours when you see it and this classic 81' Celica was mine o' mine. To me it was a bargain , 11k , and if you offered me a new City to trade ,I did say keep it , no thank you. The biggest drawback was the leopard prints which filled the interior, well I actually didn't mind having it in there for a while, it gave the Bee Gees tunes a proper stage.

But since then, it has gone through hell and back with its transformation with thousands spent to get it to where it is today. Its going to be my first and my last car so why not. It has gave me memories that I personally share, its one of my prized possession. Its somewhere I can run away from the cruel world, crab my camera, turn up my music up , chuck my wolf-dogs at the back and ride off to the wide and open roads of the world , and ideally if I am not coming back I will grab my bike as well! It is indeed my home away from home.
